Hi I'm Bessie Lancaster

I am retired and spend alot of time doing my family tree, I have a large family and am the only member. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my 80's now and am fairly limited in my activities, but until recently I vollenteered in the day centre near me, I now get to go there as a visitor. My hobbies include Crocheting, Reading and doing my Family Tree. I have also learnt to use a computer efficently in my 70's and am fairly competent now. I have one son and he has 5 step daughter's and I have 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that the Lord prepare's people to receive his Gospel, he knows when you are ready. I passed a church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building and thought i've nevr herd of that I will go there sometime, not long after missionaries came and knocked on my door and I let them in. They taught me for three weeks and I was baptised that was 32 year ago and I still think it is a wonderfull church.

How I live my faith

Every sunday I have to get a lift with other members of my ward to get to church. I read my scriptures and talk to the people who are interested in what I have to say. I live in a shared accomadation of 33 people and they all know i'm a Mormon. I also send some of my spare time visiting and contact the other sisters each month.
