Hi I'm Cassidy

I'm a Student, Friend, Sister, Daughter, Artist and Long-boarder! I give the world a reason to laugh, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm Cassidy! Second oldest of 5 kids! I also have 5 Step siblings! (WOW!) I'm a college student studying communications! But I'm getting ready to go on a mission! woo! (: the California, Oakland San Francisco mission! If you're from that area keep an eye out for me! (: Anyways! I was Born and raised in Idaho! Go potatoes! Love to long-board! (concrete surf!) its a blast! I love to express my feelings and thoughts through art! And I love to be active and play sports soccer and track are my true loves though! I listen to music, dance, and what human being doesn't like to pig out on pizza with friends?

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon.. Why not?! My parents always taught me that I had a choice in whether I wanted to be a part of the church or not. Obviously I stuck with it! When my parents were divorced, I struggled with wanting to go to church. because now I had the option of going to my mom's Christian church, or completely dropping the gospel! My mom wasn't a member anymore, and that's perfectly fine! because I love her the way she is! But I didn't understand how this could happen to my little family. I was so sad and angry for the longest time. Then one day it finally hit me, Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ have a bigger plan for me! I can't see it right now.. but its okay! I have to be willing to go through the trials in life to get that awesome plan! Sometimes life will be hard! But I know if I thank him for making me stronger through trials that it will all work out! And I will be so much happier! He loves me, and know's that I'm trying hard every day! He'll take care of me!

How I live my faith

Go to Church on Sunday, read my scriptures, and say my prayers every day and night! I try to be like Jesus every day! (just like the primary song!) I feel like if you have him in your heart, its easier to live faithfully! I try and go through out the day emulating my love for Christ and His teachings! Then when people ask me why I'm so happy, I get to tell them why, and how they can be too! (: I love to teach people about this gospel, so I guess its appropriate that I'm going on a mission! I've had the opportunity to teach in church many times! Its so fun! I love to tell people my thoughts and feelings about a certain subject! Most people think that Mormons are stuffy and boring, but I don't think I am! most of the Mormons I know are super fun and crazy! just like me! You can still live faithfully and have the right kind of fun! (:

Who are the Mormons?

Mormons are: Your friends, family members, neighbor down the street, or teller at the bank. We're kind of everywhere! how awesome is that?! (: Mormon is just a nickname derived from the "The Book of Mormon" We're members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" so the same thing! (: We're people just like you! What is faith?

Faith is the substance of things hoped for! the evidence of things not seen! having faith in God is trusting him, Faith doesn't just happen, it has to grow! It's like a seed! You have to plant it, nourish it, and take good care of it! The same with Faith, God will act on your belief in Him! Once you put it all in his hands he'll provide Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes! we are Christians! We have a very dynamic religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ! He is my Savior, and Redeemer, through his sacrifice we have the opportunity for eternal life! He is the center of our faith, and the head of our Church. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of His life, and Atonement! Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

He gave us everything! So why wouldn't I gladly give back 10%? It's like when a father gives his child money, to buy Christmas presents for mother and him. It's already their money, and they give it to the child, to give back to them. The tithing we give is already His. It shows that we are willing and dedicated! If it's down to paying tithing, or buying groceries. Pay your tithing! by doing so, you're showing God an act of faith! and he will bless you! It's a privilege not a burden! Show more Show less
