Hi I'm Tanner McCarthy

I grew up in Utah. I have been Called To Serve a Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tanner. I just graduated from High School in 2013, and have been called to serve a full-time mission in the California, Los Angeles Mission.. I play all sorts of sports; Baseball, Basketball, Football and Golf. I have been accepted into a college and will start in 2015 when I return home from my Mission. I like the outdoors and to be active. I love dogs and going on walks. Another interest of mine is drawing, I love to draw and will draw anything that catches my eye.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony of this Gospel. My family has been around this Gospel since before I was born, and I have seen the power and happiness of this Gospel in my everyday life. The Book of Mormon is true, Jospeh Smith was and is a true prophet of God. The Priesthood has been restored upon the earth today. Being a part of this wonderful church and Gospel has strengthened my life in many ways. It has made me a better sibling, a better friend to others, a harder worker, and has also made me enjoy this life more and more every day. Most importantly, I know that President Monson is a true prophet of God, he is an instrument in the lords hand and he is there to guide all of us to a better life. If we listen to his words and act upon what he tells us, we will not only discover happiness in this life, but also in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I love to do service. Any act of service is an important act. Wether it be doing yard work for your neighbor, or doing yard work at your own home. When you are helping others, you develop relationships with them. I am a hometeacher. I go out with my dad and we visit families in our ward. It is amazing to meet with them and to strengthen our relationships with them each month. Again, any act of service is important.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Tanner McCarthy
Missionaries proselyte becuase there are people out there that are searching for the truth, but are afraid of who to ask, or simply don't know where to find it. Missionaries volunteer full-time service for eighteen months to two years. Their purpose to invite all to come unto christ. Missionaries are someone who leaves their family for a short time, so that another family can be together forever. Their goal is to reach out to those who are seeking the truth. Their wish is to make others happy, by introducing to them this wonderful and restored Gospel. I will soon have the oppertunity of serving my mission, and the main goal is to teach all nations this wonderful Gospel, to give everyone a chance to hear our message, and to give them the chance to come unto Christ.
