Hi I'm Baylie ;)

I am a daughter of God, I believe in Christ, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My full name is Baylie Sue Hughes. I am preparing to serve in the Ecuador, Guayaquil North Mission. I am almost nineteen, and the oldest of five, four girls and one boy (in that order). I grew up in, and I am currently a happy member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know it, I live it, I love it! My favorite things to do are: singing, dancing, painting, eating, organizing, reading, writing, playing the piano, cleaning, enjoying the outdoors, signing (ASL), and talking. My favorite holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and My Birthday. My favorite things in the world are: Oreos, letters, granola, music, shoes, milkshakes, earrings, and potatoes. My dearest possessions are: my family, my temple recommend, my Book of Mormon, and my testimony. My greatest desire is to be a mother and a wife.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because I know that it is true. The Spirit has testified to me that this church, and all of its doctrines are true. That is how I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, chosen to bring forth the Restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is how I know that it was by the gift and power of God that The Book of Mormon was translated. I have also received a witness of the priesthood, and of our current prophet, Thomas S. Monson, whom God has ordained and appointed to lead our church. I know that my Savior suffered and died for me, so that I could be forgiven and return to live with Him someday. Lastly, I testify that my Heavenly Father is aware of me and loves me so very much. I know so deeply that this is Christ's church, that is why I am a Mormon, because I know.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to do all that He has asked me to. Such as continually keeping the commandments, consistently reading the scriptures, and constantly praying throughout the day. By doing all of these things, I allow Christ to be a part of my life, and a part of who I am.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Did you make a mistake today? Whither great or small you did. Whether you remember and feel awful, or you affected someone else and didn't even notice. We all sin, we all make mistakes, but there once was One who never sinned, who was perfect. And though He was perfect, he knew we were not, and was willing to sacrifice himself for all of us. Our own personal and collective advocate. He suffered for EVERYONE. Would we live our lives differently if we were conscious of the suffering we caused the Savior each time we sinned?
