Hi I'm Michael Spencer Kimball

I grew up in the notorious Laguna Beach,CA. My second home is the ocean. I love to travel. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Growing up in a perfect, beautiful beach city, the beach is a big part of my life. I am a skimboarder and surfer and love to play beach volleyball, soccer, guitar, and hang out with friends. But who can't forget about hanginig out with family. I grew up in a big family of loving parents, two sisters, and three brothers, not including my grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. I am a travel enthusiast, as I like to put it, and I have had the oppurtunity to travel to México, Peru, London, Paris, Netherlands, and many more to come. I am currently serving a mission in the Torreón, México mission. I plan to attend BYU Provo when I return and pursue in a career.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I come from a famous line a members in the church, I have found out for myself that this church is really true. Growing up in the church, I have had a lot of experience in attending church and learning the teachings of the church. I was raised by goodly parents who taught me great morals, and on top of that, I had great examples, including my older brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and other members in the church, who I looke up to and still do. In the church we learn many ways how to keep our lives in harmony with God, our loving Heavenly Father. By keeping ourselves in harmony with God, we learn to live a life that is more qualified to be ready to enter into His kingdom. However, as you know, we are NOT perfect, nor ever will be in this life, BUT we can strive to be perfect, as Jesus was. We all make mistakes in this life, and we are here to learn from these mistakes. I have made many, many mistakes in my life, as everyone else has, but I have grown from them and have learned how I can strive to do better. And I was able to receive help in overcoming these challenges by asking for the help from my Heavenly Father, who loves me and loves all of us. He knows that we will make mistakes in this life and knows that we are going to need help. That is why the Atonement of Jesus Christ is plays a BIG role in God´s perfect plan. Through Him we can become clean from sin. I am so grateful for what Jesus Christ has done for me, so that I can become clean from my sins and strive to live better. Looking back on my life, I would not change it for a second. I have had this wonderful oppurtunity to be raised in this church that has changed my life! I know that God and his son, Jesus Christ, live! I know that someday I will return to live with Them and with my family forever. I know that God has a perfect plan for us and that we are all here to learn and follow it. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know this church is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. One thing I love to do is help others. I have helped many friends and family out with their problems in order for them to continue to live a better life. I had the opportunuty to travel to Cuzco, Peru with a group of youth in the church to help kids in need. I realized then that it is important to help one another, as brothers and sisters in this world. Within the church, I have had the opportunty to visit persons or families who were either struggling or who just needed a spiritual boost. I have learned that as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we always care for one another, no matter who you are or what you are going through. Right now I am helping the people of México come more closer unto Christ, which has increased my view on helping others more fully than ever. There is nothing better than helping others come unto Christ and seeing their lives change for the better.
