Hi I'm Kylie

I'm an energetic Sister Missionary serving in the Missouri, St. Louis Mission. I LOVE life, volleyball & golf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty simple and outgoing person. I love to go camping, four wheeling and hang out with my family. I love to play sports, especially volleyball and golf. I am currently serving in the Missouri, St. Louis Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Deciding to serve a mission has been the best decision I've ever made for my life! I love the gospel and I am sincerely grateful for the knowledge I have in being a daughter of God and that He loves me. That knowledge has led me to serve all those who are around me. We are all in this together and many of us need a simple reminder that we're not alone in the journey towards reaching our eternal potential.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born in Utah it's almost assumed that I grew up in a perfect Mormon family. I went to school where I had friends that were members and went to church every Sunday. I was always the go-to-girl when it came to giving talks in church meetings and helping out whenever someone needed it. I was what you would call, the modeled molly Mormon. However, when I was in 10th grade I made it on the vball team which made it so I couldn't attend the YW's activities. With my absence, a rumor spread that I was going "inactive" and when I heard this I decided to play the part and stop attending all together. After time, I found that questions began to aspire, doubts arose and even the thought of self worth diminished. I no longer had a testimony of the church nor even believed that God existed. Too many things were going wrong in my life. God didn't love me. About 1 year went by with unbelief and self hatred. I knew that something was missing but by this time, I had forgotten all that I grew up to believe. It wasn't until my mom made me go to girls camp where I confided in a friend who knelt in the dirt with me and said a prayer that I will never forget. It was as if she was speaking everything that my heart yearned for Heavenly Father to know. I just didn't know how to say it. That moment was the first time that I truly felt that God existed and that He loved me. From that point in my life, I chose to do everything I could to find out if the church was true. With the help, love and support of my leaders and family I was able to find faith and develop a testimony. This time in my life was the hardest thing I've ever experienced. But Heavenly Father never left my side. I just didn't know how to recognize Him. I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is true with everything that I once was, everything that I am and everything I am destined to become through following His example. I am a Mormon because I want to show God that I will never leave His side.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Missouri, St. Louis Mission. I have been blessed with many miracles in my life because of the Gospel and now I get to go out and share what I have come to know is true with hundreds of people. I am set apart to help Heavenly Father's work progress and that is an eternal miracle. A marvelous work has come forth. It is now and we are all living it!

What is the Law of Chastity?

Kylie
Heavenly Father delights in chastity and hates sexual sin. Chastity includes strict abstinence from sexual relations before marriage and complete fidelity and loyalty to one's spouse after marriage. Those who live the Law of Chastity enjoy the strength that comes from self-control. Chastity also includes keeping our thoughts clean, dressing modestly, clean speech, and actions. We must avoid all forms of pornography. The blessings that come from obeying this law is having a stronger and more unified relationship with your spouse and family, the ability to discern spiritual promptings as well as keeping a personal relationship with your Heavenly Father.
