Hi I'm Braxon Waite

I was born in Logan Utah and raised in Fredonia Arizona. I love to read and I like cats. I no longer have braces and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love to read fantasy. I have a pet cat. I have a talent for quoting movies for some odd reason. I am also a fan of country music, mostly the older kind. I love taking hikes and gathering inspirational quotes. I just love nature. I'm also an eagle scout and seminary graduate. I have been called weird...and it's true, BUT I'm proud of it. Being weird is fun. I have recently discovered that I'm always happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the mormon church, but I don't think I really had a testimony of my own. However all that changed at EFY (Especially for Youth). EFY is a church sponsored "summer camp" where you listen to insperational teachers, go to dances, and basically have fun. On the second to last (or last) day we have a testimony meeting where people go up and share how they discovered that the church is true or just something they know is true. It was during one of these meetings that I just felt the spirit so strongly. I knew and that time for my self that this church was true and that I would never leave it.

How I live my faith

I help get wood for the elderly, I also help cut it, most of the time. I volunteer at my local library. I am currently serving a full time mission because I want to share the happiness that the gospel has given me with others.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Braxon Waite
We are called those names because of our book of scripture, The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ. However not everyone knows that it's another testament of Jesus Christ. That's why the official name of the church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If you don't believe me, read the book. You'll love it. Show more Show less
