Hi I'm Theresa Gallo Esguerra

I am a mother of six, grandmother of 5, wife, teacher and I'm a Mormon! :)

About Me

I am a daughter, wife, mother, teacher, coach, and I am a Mormon. I met my husband when we were both in college. We have so much in common, it's hard to believe! I live in St. Augustine, Florida. My husband, Bob and I have been married for 27 years, and we have six children together, (5 girls and 1 boy). We have 4 grandchildren and another one on the way. Our family keeps growing and growing and that makes me happy! I belong to a large family and I wouldn't change it one bit! The one thing that I know for sure about families is that families can be together forever, and that brings me a lot of peace! My husband and I both came from large families, and value the family unit tremendously! I feel that large families bring unity and strength. My family gives so much comfort and support to me daily, and without it, life would sure be dull and lonely.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, in Heavenly Father and in the Holy Ghost. I became baptized when I was 11 years old. I was baptized with most of my family, and it was a very happy day for all of us. I will never forget the missionaries who came to my house to teach our family about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our family already were christians and belonged to another church, and before this, the missionaries were never let in the door. My mother had always shut the door on the missionaries in the past, but one day, she let them in! I am so very grateful for that! We listened to the lessons, and became baptized shortly after. I have since become closer to God in my more recent years, as I gained a deeper understanding of the gospel and developed a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ. I have come to depend on God daily and put my faith in him with each passing moment. I know t that He loves me and knows me as an individual. I know that I am a daughter of our Heavenly Father and I know that Jesus Christ is my older brother. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living day prophet, and I know that the Book of Mormon is true and it is another testiment of Jesus Christ, just like the Bible.

How I live my faith

I am an active member in my community and church. I am a middle school science, math and special education teacher, a middle school dance team coach, a girls' basketball coach for my church, sunday school teacher for young adults and an activities days leader for my church. I enjoy my busy life-style and I love being able to volunteer my time at my church and school. I love to be involved with my children's activities too! I love children and want to help shape and mold them in hopes that they will become educated, productive, loving and giving individuals with high moral standards and great character.
