Hi I'm Cody

I am adventurous and love learning. I love singing and creating beautiful things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in southern Arizona, but when I was nine my family moved to Chicago, then Minnesota for six years, and then to beautiful Missouri! I am the second oldest of four children. I love writing stories, making delicious food, decorating cakes, and singing! I am going to college for music, but want to go into dance and language studies as well. Really, I want to learn about everything! I also love teaching, and work as a tutor.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church. I have chosen to be a member and stay a member of this church because of the peace and joy that I feel when I am keeping God's commandments. Not only does keeping God's commandments bring immediate blessings, but those blessings increase and grow as you are faithful! I know that God loves me, and loves all of us. I know that Jesus Christ died for us, and that he was resurrected and lives! I love the Temples, and the peace I feel knowing that my family is sealed together forever! I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and I have studied it alongside the Bible. My testimony of the Savior and the strength I gain from my high moral standard has carried me through so much in my life, and has been such a light to me! There is no obstacle or hardship that cannot be overcome by keeping God's commandments and having faith in the Atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am enthusiastic about following Jesus Christ's example of service and gentleness towards others. I believe that you don't need a huge project to follow that example, but that you can serve through genuine acts of kindness and care! Even if all you are doing is holding a door, or helping someone with their studies, or just being a caring, listening ear for someone in need, you are exemplifying the Savior's love. I also serve as one of the music coordinators for my church, organizing the music for each Sunday service, and as a councilor and teacher in our women's organization.
