Hi I'm Jacob

I live in Midway, Utah, U.S.A. I'm serving a full-time two-year mission in Roseville California learning Spanish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Virginia. I have one brother and three sisters and I am the oldest in my family. I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, and mixed martial arts. I also love to read and write. When I return from my mission I will be attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and I hope to major in Computer Sciences with a minor in Chinese.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter-Day Saint because I have a firm belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ and His atonement for us. I have become converted over a lifetime of learning about the gospel and gaining my own testimony of our purpose here on earth as human beings, the divine nature of the doctrine found in the Book of Mormon, and the power of the living savior Jesus Christ, our Father in Heaven, and the Holy Ghost, who make up the three separate members of the Godhead. I believe in Christ. Without him I would be lost. His atonement for my sins ensures that I will one day be able to live with my Father in Heaven and partake in the eternal glory of the Celestial Kingdom of Heaven. I have a firm testimony in the revelation of Joseph Smith, who translated the Book of Mormon from plates found in the Hill Cumorah in 1827. I believe that these plates are God-given doctrine that complement the teachings found in the Holy Bible. I am grateful for my family, and the integral role that families play in the Plan of Salvation which allows us to, by repentance, covenants with the Lord, and faith in Him, live for eternity in Heaven. I believe that the revelations given to us by our beloved Prophet come directly from our Father who is in Heaven. I know that this inspired guidance and the authority of the restored priesthood to do work in the Lord's name are blessings without equal. It is for this reason that I am devoting myself to serving my fellow man and, by extension, my God.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving the Lord for two years as a proselyting missionary in Roseville California. I am inviting others to come unto Christ and teaching them about His gospel, which has been restored to the earth.
