Hi I'm DeAnne Sweeney

I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah. I enjoyed being a mother and now I am enjoying being a grandmother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have raised 5 children. Four boys and one girl. We have lived in Texas, Maryland and Florida. We have loved each of these locations for their beauty and value. I have been involved in remodeling houses. I love finding something that needs some fixing up and cleaning up. The kids and I had a paper route so they could earn money for their college education. We agreed nobody would get to spend any of the money except for education and/or a church mission. I loved those early morning hours with my children. They were real troopers! The children are now raised and off on their own. We have closed up shop and are preparing for a mission of our own. I enjoy the time I spend with my husband. We love to travel and we enjoying cooking together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, first by birth, second by belief and personal knowledge and experience. I was born to wonderful parents who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel. I have studied for myself the doctrines and teachings of the church. I find them to be true and as I have lived them I have found joy. I know that God lives and loves his children. I have felt of his great love and goodness. I love my family and I love that we believe families are forever.

How I live my faith

I have had several opportunities to served in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have taught the youth in early morning seminary. Each morning of the school year my students woke up early to arrive at the church building by 6 AM, during that time each year we would study the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants/Church History. I have also been the leader of a yearly girls camp in four different states! Each state had its advantages and disadvantages. But every moment with those beautiful young women was wonderful.
