Hi I'm Sarah

I am a singer, a dancer, a performer, a teacher and a golfer. I am a future missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life! I am very positive and out going. My passion is music. I love to sing and to dance, especially singing. I have been in several performing groups and performed several times both in Utah and California. I created my own dance class for little girls, that I started 7 years ago. I promote confidence in little girls as I teach them song and dance. I also am a tomboy! I am the only girl with four brothers, and love to get dirty. I love all sports, but I play golf. I was the captain on my high school team and love to play with my dad. After high school, I went to college at both UVU and BYU Idaho. I am now anticipating my next adventure as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Auckland, New Zealand!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this is the only true church on the earth today. I was blessed to be born into this gospel, with a family who helped me gain a testimony. I have always been taught to do what's right. I have always had a desire to be obedient, which has been a huge blessing. However, I have experienced tests and trials through out my life. I honestly think the biggest trial of my faith that I have experienced so far, is this decision to serve my Heavenly Father as a missionary. I have such a desire to serve, I really do. But, it is a scary thing! Leaving my family and friends and my home for 18 months. Putting school and other relationships on hold to go to a place that is on the other side of the world! I don't really know what is going to happen on my mission, or what is going to happen when I get home. But, through it all, I have gained a strong testimony of a few things. I know without a doubt, that I have a plan. God has plan for my life. Yes, I may not know all of it, but I know that I am important and my life is important. I know that faith is required for all things. Faith is an action word. This is the one of the first times in my life that I have had to actually put my beliefs into action, and follow God's plan for me, and serve a mission. I know God lives. And if we put our trust in Him, He will not lead us astray. He will make sure we are taken care of, and His plan is always, always better than our own plans for ourselves. It might be scary at times, but that's what faith is. Faith is what stretches us and helps us grow, and eventually becoming into who God wants us to be.

How I live my faith

During junior high and high school, I performed on stage frequently, and also participated a few pageants. I always made sure I was dressed modestly. Every day to school, I made sure that what I was wearing was modest, and followed the Strength of Youth Guidelines. In high-school, I also had the chance serve as the president of my church group. I also had the opportunity to represent youth my age on a podcast on the mormon channel. I got to talk about why modesty is important. Most importantly, I try and live my faith by being an example wherever I go. I want the true light of Christ to shine in me. Even if it is in simple ways, maybe just smiling at someone, or saying hi, I've found the smallest things make a big difference. I am taking a huge leap of faith by deciding to serve as a missionary for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I am so excited to serve my Heavenly Father, and the people of New Zealand!
