Hi I'm Jackson

I'm serving a mission in Fukuoka, Japan. I like to explore the arts. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up singing and humming at all times. I sang through school, and now I'm singing on my mission. I am serving in the Fukuoka Japan Mission. I am serving a mission to spread the happiness I`ve received through this wonderful gospel, and have met so many amazing people in the process.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me with firm beliefs in doing what is right, separate from religion, so I've always had the opportunity to choose the right. I started making friends with Latter-Day Saints in Junior High, although I had no idea what their religion meant. It wasn't until late in high school that I dated a member of the LDS faith. She invited me over for dinner with the missionaries a few times, and after a rejection or two I accepted. The missionaries read out of the Book of Mormon. They asked if I would like to meet with them again. Of course, I agreed. I was baptized on August 28th, 2010. Even out of the hard times, I've found joy in rejoicing in the fact that God truly does have a plan for me. I know that my Heavenly Father lives, that he knows me, and I know that through this church I can become the person that my Father in Heaven wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I was in the Boy Scouts of America before joining the church, and was able to serve my community through service and leadership. When I joined the church I found even more ways in which I could serve my fellow man. In this church we have callings that give us certain responsibilities, and allow us to help build up the church. In my calling as a missionary I do my best to spread this wonderful message to all those around me, with knowledge that they can receive the same joy that I`ve received.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jackson
A testimony is a knowledge, given to us by Heavenly Father, of truth. We can recieve a testimony of all truth through God`s Spirit, the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
