Hi I'm Christian

I'm an oboist, runner, return missionary, and Las Vegas native. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Nevada and couldn't imagine growing up anywhere else. Currently, I am an oboe performance major. I love all types of music and enjoy finding current artists that break the mold. In my spare time, I like to find ways to practice Vietnamese and get in touch with my cultural roots. I love the mountains, running, and exploring the outdoors. My family is my biggest source of inspiration and support.

Why I am a Mormon

God speaks to men today! How cool is that! It's so comforting to know that there is a God above who not only loves me and everyone around me, but desires my happiness. I know that one way in which He is helping me become a happier and better person is through this church. He really does lead this church. In addition, Heavenly Father leads us personally. Through prayer, I know that I am where I am supposed to be. Being a member of this church is amazing. I can't name many things (outside my family) that have been able to both comfort me when I fall and push me to new heights.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily prayer, scripture study, and service. Each day, I try to look for the good in the world. I believe that God really is in the details of my life. I love sharing my testimony of the Savior and looking for ways to serve others. Another way I live my religion is through regular temple attendance. Attending the temple is one of my favorite parts of being a member of the church. Even when I go alone, I always feel closer to my family and closer to God when I leave.
