Hi I'm Michael

I'm currently a missionary for the church, i love football and i'm just a typical Scottish lad! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello! My name is Michael Watt but most of my friends just call me Watty. I am currently serving a mission for two years in the England Birmingham Mission so i am known as 'Elder Watt'. I love my mission and the way it has helped me to grow and learn alot about myself. My family are amazing - i am one of 7 and i now have 9 nieces and nephews, so its getting bigger! I love Football - i played Semi-professionaly when i was younger and hope to play alot more after my mission. I studied sports coaching for 3 years and i worked as a football coach for a year and a half, it was a dream job! I love having a good laugh and having some banter but when it really comes down to it, i love seeing others change as i help them progress in their lives and help them find happiness. Some random facts about me are: - I love Haggis - I have quite a bit of metal in one of my legs! - I play the guitar - My hero is William Wallace

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the church but at 16 i stopped going because i wanted to play football on a Sunday! When i was 18 i had a really serious car accident which left me lucky to be alive and it was a turning point, a defining moment in my life where it made me stop and think. Thanks to many great people that didn't give up on me i eventually came back to church, it was my own decision, and that decision was made because i knew that i had felt the spirit and i knew that i could not deny it. In the proceeding months my testimony began to grow and my life began to change, bit by bit until i made the decision to come on a mission. I bear my witness that i have felt feelings that i cannot describe which i know are from the Spirit of God, testifying to me that The church of Jesus Christ of Latter - day Saints is God's kingdom on Earth. I cannot and will not deny it. I love the Book of Mormon and would urge any honest seeker of truth to read it and ask God if it is true, he is the only person that can tell us. There is a difference between believing something and knowing something - i just want to let you know that i know that the Book of Mormon is true and it changes lives everyday and will continue to do so until it has filled the earth.

How I live my faith

Serving full time as a missionary is a great experience and truly has and is changing my life and my perspective on things. As missionaries we talk with everyone we can about the church and the gospel and it is such a great opportunity and blessing to have a testimony and share it with others. From 6.30am-10.30am everyday for two years seems like a long time but it has gone fast and i love being immersed in the work of inviting others to come unto Christ.
