Hi I'm Kaidree Kenyon

I grew up exploring the outdoors. I love sports. I love my family! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a lover of the outdoors! Backpacking, swimming, hiking, you name it, I love it! I also love soccer, lacrosse, and swimming. I taught kids how to swim. I swam the butterfly in State Swim Meet. I have hiked/backpacked into dozens of lakes. I have gone through major knee surgery. When I grow up I want to be a math teacher. I want to make math fun and easy to learn like my favorite teacher did for me! But most importantly I have a deep love for the Book of Mormon and for Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found the greatest light, love, and spirit from this gospel. I have never felt so much love, help, guidance, and relief from anywhere else or anyone else. I don't know what I would do or who I would be without this gospel. I do know for a fact that life would be a lot harder if I didn't have this gospel. I know this because I went through times when I thought I could do it on my own, then trial after trial came and I knew I needed help. As soon as I prayed to my Heavenly Father to help guide me, I felt an overwhelming feeling of comfort and burden lifted from my shoulders. Then I knew that my trials were not as hard as I thought because I was receiving help from someone who knows me better than myself, my Heavenly Father. As I have come to know Christ, I know that he has taken my sins upon himself and that he has felt everything that I have felt. That through his Atonement, I can be forgiven of my sins. I have a testimony that we can all live with our Heavenly Father again. He has the perfect plan for us, known as the plan of Happiness or the plan of Salvation. I also know that when I get married in the Temple, that I can be sealed to my husband for time and all eternity along with the rest of my family. I know that through faith and keeping the commandments, that I will be able to continue come closer to my Savior and Heavenly Father. As I act on faith that God will lead and guide me, I know that I can help myself and others come closer to him.

How I live my faith

Growing up I had a testimony of the Church as a teenager, but I didn't start strengthening or acting upon that testimony until a few years later. My family has constantly been there to help me grow and learn more by serving one another and serving those in the community. In college I was able to learn the importance of acting on my testimony or else it will weaken. The best thing I have done to live my faith is by serving and LDS mission! I have been called to serve a mission to the South Dakota Rapid City mission. I know that serving a mission will help me to recognize God's will for His children. By spending 18 months of my life to serve and teach other children of God, I will be able to be more like Christ.
