Hi I'm Brooke

I love wearing my hair in a side ponytail. I'm a pianist. Popcorn is my weakness. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old and loving life! I recently returned from serving a full-time mission in Scotland and Ireland! I couldn't have learned more or grown more spiritually any other place than I did devoting my time and efforts to the Lord as a missionary. I have worked as a dental assistant, piano teacher, tour guide for my University, and an activities coordinator for on-campus events. I love to play the piano and hope to teach lessons out of my home again someday! I am the 2nd oldest child in my family. I am addicted to popcorn and European chocolate. :) I have a love for the outdoors and hiking/biking/sporting activities. Camping (especially in the backyard) is a favorite past-time of mine. I have a passion for life and a deep love for this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Why wouldn't I be?! This church has brought me more happiness than any earthly possession will ever bring to me. I always grew up knowing this church was true because of the example of my parents, but there came a time in my life where I needed to get down on my knees and speak with my Father in heaven about what He wanted for me in this life. The answer I got? I needed this church. I needed to have the knowledge that it's okay if I make mistakes, because Jesus Christ cares enough about ME to perform the Atonement in MY behalf. I continue to follow this gospel because I know it is what will bring me to heaven someday, with my eternal family. I love this church.

How I live my faith

I spent 3 years as a member in the Presidency of the women's organization of our church before I came on my mission. I was able to get to know the women in my ward and their needs so well. My main responsibility was to plan at least one activity a month for all the girls to get together and do-this helped us to get to know each other and meet new people. Within the community, my favorite thing to do is visit nursing homes and play the piano for the patients while they eat their meals. Not only does it bring me a lot of joy, but I have a lot of funny stories to share about the elderly I meet. :)

What do Mormons believe about family?

Satan is doing everything he can to attack the family and tear them apart. As Mormons, we believe that through following Jesus Christ and His gospel, we can keep our families firm and strong. We believe that we can be together forever, even after this life, with our family members. Show more Show less
