Hi I'm Rowanne

This is me... I'm a woman, I'm a daughter, I'm a wife, I'm a mother, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in the beautiful county of Yorkshire England, with its rolling hills and beautiful landscapes. I grew up within a single parent family. With little material wealth, life was often a struggle to put food on the table, but despite that we were rich in the only way that counts... we had each other. My mum joined the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints when i was 3 years old. Her decision to find out for herself if the church is true has blessed my life beyond anything i could have imagined. Today I am married to a wonderful scotsman, and the mother of a beautiful 18 month old boy, whom i adore. I know now more than ever just how important families are, and how our love for each other lasts forever.

Why I am a Mormon

To know who you are, why you're here on earth, and where you're going when your time is up; is the most wonderful feeling. I know in my heart that i have a Heavenly family, and that we are all brothers and sisters, sent to earth to learn, so that we can become all that our Father in Heaven knows we can be. I know he answers prayers... why? ... Because i've tested it out for myself. I have studied the principles of the gospel out in my own mind and gone to the Lord with my questions. I have asked if the things i learn are true and he has confirmed to me that they are. I know he watches over me and my family everyday, and i am so grateful for his constant companionship. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me very much and he has a wonderful plan of happiness that ensures joy in this life and beyond into the eternities. Families can indeed be together forever. We don't just stop existing .... isn't that so wonderful. We are all Gods children, and he loves us more that we will ever know.

How I live my faith

Being at home with my young son enables me to share his achievements and watch him grow. As a family we are able to share family time with each other and learn from the scriptures about our Heavenly Father and our Saviour Jesus Christ. I am blessed to be able to teach 3-5 year olds in my ward at church, and gain great enjoyment from sharing with them the love our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has for all of us.
