Hi I'm Brent

I was born in California, raised in Texas. I love to learn and to juggle. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student and love chemistry and psychology. I am an active member of my school's juggling club and play racquetball for fun. I am also a big "outdoors" person-- anything from mountain biking to kayaking to backpacking to rock climbing. I love spending time with my parents and siblings. I definitely consider my family my number one priority and treasure that relationship.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), but I honestly don't think I would have stuck with it in my early teens if I didn't know that it was true! I decided to follow Christ though and keep trying to live the commandments and I have found an indescribable amount of peace and joy. His gospel is one of happiness and I know that He suffered and died so that, despite my imperfections, I could have the opportunity to repent and become like Him. Doing the right thing can be hard, but I've learned that most things that are worth doing in life are difficult. I'm a Mormon because I know that it is the truth and that it is the only way to return and live with God once again.

How I live my faith

I try to serve others daily. I have found that as I focus on the needs of other people, my own problems and trials seem far less significant and tend to take care of themselves. At school, I try to include everyone in activities and look for opportunities to do things for others that they cannot do for themselves. One goal I currently have is to try to imagine each person as Christ sees them and treat them accordingly.
