Hi I'm Janae

I grew up in California. Love music, the gospel, and my family! I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I am the seventh of nine children. I was home schooled, and love to write, read old books, sew (when i'm in the mood for it), and do family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I love doing family history. Once I start, I have a really hard time stopping. By doing family history I learn to love and have a greater desire to know those who have gone before me. Because of the restoration of Christ's church and the priesthood, I know that my family can be together forever. I know that I will see and get to know those whose names I have found and added to my family tree. Isn't it amazing that we can be one huge family forever?! Knowing this, and that I can be with my parents and eight siblings forever, is one of the reasons that I am a Mormon. I love my family. My mom joined the church as a teenager, and as I see the choices that she made, I see how it has changed and made the history of her family change for the better. Sometimes I've wondered what I would be if I didn't have the teachings of the Savior in my life, if I didn't have the knowledge of the restoration of the gospel, and then I shudder. I really don't want to know. All I can say is that I am grateful and proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a good example to those around me, by following the teachings of the Savior, and being obedient to his commandments. In July, I will be leaving to serve a full time mission for the church in Des Moines, Iowa. I'm super excited, as well as nervous. Well on a mission, I will be openly telling everyone that I believe in Jesus Christ and am a member of his church, since His name will be written under mine on the name tag I'll be wearing. This is a huge responsibility, but one I'm looking forward to!
