Hi I'm Celeste

I am Dutch, a passionate Event Manager and love going to the temple! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a passionate Event Manager, happily married and living my dreams. I've had the amazing opportunity to move to London for my study, work at the London 2012 Olympic Games and meet new people with different cultural backgrounds. I play the flute and piano, love to make paintings, ballroom and latin dancing, running, climbing, ice-skating, swimming, reading novels, riding my very Dutch bike and meeting up with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Together with my two siblings, I have grown up with the Mormon faith at home. Both my mom and dad were converted in their youth and am ever grateful for their inspiring decision, example and lesson. Though my parents had a testimony of the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, they wanted me to make my own choices and discover the truth by myself. By very personal experiences such as prayer, reading the Bible and Book of Mormon, I have felt and still feel the Holy Spirit testify unto me that the Prophet Josepth Smith restored the true gospel on earth and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. When feeling the Holy Spirit testify unto me, I feel the sweet joy that lifts up my burdens and sorrows, giving me guidance to become happier and draw closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Going to the temple has been one of the best decisions in my life! Getting married in the temple was such a miraculous moment and know that families can be forever! Every single time I enter the temple with my husband, it feels like coming home. It gives me peace of mind, joy and a clear focus on what is important in life once I am back in my busy life. I try to make my home a peaceful place, where the spirit can be felt by prayer, scripture study, a loving relationship with my husband and living the gospel by keeping my covenants. I try to become a better person than I was yesterday. My ward has given me the opportunity to be the primary president. I am responsible for the children aged 1.5-12 years old. By preparing lessons and talking to the children, the children (and myself) can get a better understanding of the marvellous works of our Savior and Heavenly Father and testify of it. I've started to love these kids more than ever! They've thought me patience, kindness and love. They inspire me to share the happiness and joy that I feel in my life through the gospel and Jesus Christ.
