Hi I'm Jared Morgan

Grew up in Georgia, love my family and I'm a video gamer geek but most important I am a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Jesup and raised in a small Georgia town called Glennville. My parents and sisters are all active and we now live in Utah. I grew up playing recreation baseball, soccer, and tennis. I enjoy doing things with my family. I like music from the 60's and up just to name a few, The Beatles, Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nirvana, BFMV but my folks got me into the Classic Rock so thats what I mainly love hearing. I enjoy going bowling and to the races with my dad because nothing sounds better than an old mucsle car roaring down the hot strip. I did say I was a gamer I enjoy playing all sorts of games on the xbox, mainly Rockband and Halo but I'm a WOW player on the computer but don't get me wrong I do, do other things, but when you have two competitive sisters well there you go lol. I have yet to start school. I mainly just worked a lot. I hope to take business classes when I am off my mission. I also said I now live in Utah very cool place to live during the summer. I love riding my four wheeler up the mountains and seeing the valleys but winter is not my thing unless you go to temple square then its AWESOME!!. I currently serve in the California Irvine Mission which at one time I was part of the California Anaheim Mission pretty cool!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church but for me I let things get in the way of understanding my purpose here it wasn't until I turned 19 and realized that I couldn't go on a mission because of my choices. I did grow up in the church, so I gain somewhat of a testimony and so each year after my 19th birthday my testimony kept reminding me that I should go on a mission, I called it my little spark because at times it never seemed to diminish. I think what also help was a talk by Elder Jeffery R. Holland in 2010, he said something in general conference about getting away from those things that cause us to have pain or to do the wrong things so one day I was working and it just hit me, don't know why, but I came home told my folks hey I'm moving back to Georgia (coming from Utah) and start focusing on being a missionary, of course this was most likely not what he meant by that, but it worked. I got there, focused on reading, going back to church and becoming worthy to be a missionary, so now I'm serving in the California Irvine Mission at age 24 and trying to become more of what the Lord wants me to be.

How I live my faith

Well when I was 12 I did a lot of hometeaching with my dad but since then I have become a young mens counsler which was awesome hope to do that again one day and I have been a primary teacher for the 9 year olds but as always nothing beats reading your scriptures everyday going to church and providing service. I do spend a lot of time with my family which is important to me gaining the experince I need to become a good son and future father.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jared Morgan
yes they can by going through the temple and being sealed but it can only be fufilled through keeping the commandments knowing and sustaining that there is a prophet here today on this earth and making that first covenant with the lord which is baptism and when we are sealed those promises that our heavenly father made as long as we live righteously we will be with our family forever for all time and eternity Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Jared Morgan
Just like the prophets in the Bible there were prophets who lived in ancient amierca who were called by God to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ amongst their people but one of the last prophets in the Book of Mormon named Mormon put the wiritings together before he had passed and so its called after him but the promise is still the same if you read the Book Of Mormon you will grow closer to knowing Christ his atonement and our Heavenly Father Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jared Morgan
Yes if you look at it God does love us right and he is the same yesterday today and forever why wouldn't there be i mean i dont think we are any better than those in our past so there has to be someone here continuing to receive that knowledge directly for our Heavenly Father help make sure were are on the right path that the doctrine is keep pure or else we are all prophets in a since if for some reason we dont need that anymore because we should be receiving that witeness form our Heavenly Father like the prophets did of old Show more Show less
