Hi I'm Adam

I'm the eldest of 3 siblings. I have grown up in the church all my life. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently in my 5th year of high school, studying Maths, English and 3 sciences. Music is a passion of mine, and its something that takes up a huge part of my life - I write my own songs, sing and play several instruments. I enjoy spending time with my school friends and socialising with lots of different people.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the incredible opportunity to have been brought up in the church ever since I was born. I know that this church is true, without a shadow of a doubt - I've been able to receive a powerful witness of this simple fact through prayer. The Gospel really has been beneficial to my life as it has answered many questions I have had about our life here on earth, and brought me happiness.

How I live my faith

Within the church, I have been called to serve as the first assistant to the priests quorum. This basically means that I help the bishop with any sort of tasks that need done, and help see to the members of the priests (16-17 year old males) in any way I can, making sure their needs are being met. On occasion, I am given an opportunity to give lessons and teach these other youth about principles and beliefs that we have. Outwith the church, it is my duty and responsibility to live up to my standards and set an example to my friends and acquaintances.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Adam
We believe that our body is a special blessing from God. In order to keep our bodies in a state of physical wellbeing, we received a law concerning our health in 1833. This law is known as the Word of Wisdom. It is in this law that we are told to abstain from such substances such as Tobacco, Alcohol, Coffee/Tea and Illegal drugs. God promised us that we would receive great benefits both spiritually and physically from obeying this law. Nowadays, scientists are promoting these values that our God gave to us nearly 2 centuries ago. Show more Show less
