Hi I'm Lexi Olsen

I bleed Aggie Blue. I love being outside. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to Utah State University for 2 years, where I studied Archaeology, Computer Science, and worked in Publication. So in other words, I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. I can often be found boating at Lake Powell or four-wheeling down in Salina. I also love to shoot my bow or any type of gun in my spare time. Doctor Who, Harry Potter and Marvel Comics (especially Wolverine) are great loves of mine.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised Mormon, so no grand, inspiring conversion story for me. I have just grown up seeing the examples of my parents and siblings and am so grateful for their strength and testimonies in this gospel. I got to see my sister serve a mission and hear stories from my Dad's time in the field. I have needed the gospel in my life to help overcome trials and opposition. I know that Heavenly Father lives and cares for us more than we realize. He is so attached to our lives and well-beings and most of us take it for granted and forget to thank him for his many blessings upon us. This gospel brings the greatest joy to anyone who truly is looking for light and truth. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I cannot wait to proclaim that to the people of Washington.

How I live my faith

I try my best to follow the doctrine of Christ. Even though having faith each and every day can be a challenge, I am grateful for the chance I have to repent of those mistakes I do make and to keep moving forward. As my favorite blue fish once said, "Just keep swimming!" And then, how privileged am I to have the opportunity to partake of the sacrament each week?? What an incredible gift from my Father, to renew those covenants made at baptism and to be washed clean of sins on a regular basis (because, quite frankly, I am constantly making mistakes and in need my Savior's redeeming love). AND THEN! The gift of the Holy Ghost! I still can't comprehend how amazing of a gift he is. If I do my part, I can have a member of the Godhead lead and direct me every day. I can definitely feel my Heavenly Father's love in the gifts He has given me. But then comes the hard part. Endurance. Just as I stated above, I need to strive to do these things through out my life and against the powers of the adversary. Satan doesn't want any of us to be happy. So lets show him who's boss and all gain eternal happiness, shall we?
