Hi I'm Shannon

I love Service and Missionary Work and I just so happen to be a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Military, so I was able to experience things such as moving but also travelling. I lived in Europe for the last three years of my high school career and was able to travel to different countries. I love learning about new things and going beyond my comfort zone. I love serving others, and I love helping those in need. I want to serve a mission and hope to in the near future.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, I was never strong in the gospel because I never sought to gain a testimony of my own. When I was fifteen, I made the decision to be LDS... then when I was seventeen, I made the decision again... and then when I was eighteen... I made it again. I discovered that although I did believe in the Church and all of it's teachings, I would not seek to have my testimony grow. When I discovered this, I took the necessary steps to allow my testimony to grow. It didn't blossom at first, and it was hard at first, but I am nineteen now and don't have to make the decision again because I am constantly working at it. I love this Gospel and see the joy it brings to people and I see the change it causes in their lives. I understand the Lord's love and His blessings in my life from it. I want to bring strangers unto Christ and I want to bring strangers to know their Father in Heaven who loves them.

How I live my faith

I am a primary teacher over Valiant Eight's. Although extremely hesitant to accept my calling, I have learned so much from these young spirits that my testimony has grown immensely. I was also called as a YSA representative in my family ward, and have taken on the task of bringing less active members back to church. I love to do service, and help with food orders and go out with the missionaries because it makes me feel good, but I also get to see the Light of Christ touch these peoples lives just by an act of kindness.
