Hi I'm Erica

I grew up in Utah. I am 20 years old, I am a college student, a cosmetologist and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a 20 year old girl and I am the oldest of 7 children. The ages of my siblings range from 16 years to 3 months. Four of my siblings are adopted and have joined our family in the last year. I have also been a hair stylist for 2 years and I am a sophmore in college and I am studying to become a child psychologist. I also have been a gymnastics coach and I started doing that after I was a gymnast for 14 years and I reached level 9. I love my family and I love my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints(aka Mormon) because I know without a doubt in my heart and mind that this gospel is true and this is what I am suppose to be doing. I grew up in the gospel but I did not however always know that this gospel was true. It took many years of me thinking I believed before I found out that I did not truly know for myself if this was true. That's when I decided to figure it out. I started reading the scriptures and praying daily, attending church meeting and honestly trying each and everyday to listen for a confirmation that this was true. It was hard at first and It was not until about age 18 that I discovered for myself that this is the true gospel and the only way to Eternal Happiness. In this gospel I know and I feel how much my Heavenly Father loves me. He tells me each and every day that I mean something and that I have a purpose here on Earth and that any trial he sends my way I can over come. I love Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending the Young Single Adult Stake in my area. This is a ward full of members that are not married that range from the age 18 to 31. In this ward I hold the calling of a ward missionary and I am preparing to serve a full time mission to Tacoma Washington. I also attend classes at the LDS institute on my college campus. These are classes that we can learn about the scriptures, previous prophets, leadership skills and many other church related topics. I try to serve others as much as I can and keep Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father in my mind and thoughts throughout everyday and try each and everyday to become a little more like them.
