Hi I'm Jean

Born in Liverpool. Trained Hairdresser. Mother of Four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Having been a single mother of 2 for 10 years, I made my way as a hairdresser, heavily relying on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Eventually, I met my second husband and our two families joined together. Now I'm a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 10; my husband and I are now retired and we try to keep busy and live my life to the fullest, we love working in the garden and doing whatever we can to help our neighbours and friends, while spending as much time as we can with our ever growing family.

Why I am a Mormon

During my time as a single Mother, the church was a great strength for me to lean on while raising my children. I found an extended family which helped to raise them with good morals and values. The evidence I've seen in my own life of how much joy and happiness being a Mormon has brought to my children and I, is undeniable. Being raised a Methodist; I was very impressed by the testimonies and beliefs of Mormon missionaries I met as a young girl. Later I met more missionaries and began to learn more about them and the plan God has for us. It is that plan; where we came from, why we are here and where we’re going; which gives me purpose, helps me to stay grounded and have direction in life.

How I live my faith

Aside from attending church weekly, I do my best to strengthen those around me by visiting others who may be in need. I teach children at church about Jesus Christ. My faith gives me direction every day; I cannot even separate my faith from daily life. I strive to be aware of how I can be of help to my neighbours and serve those around me as Christ would.
