Hi I'm Rowena

I was born in Philippines. I grew up with only one brother and four lovely sisters of a wonderful parents. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a housewife and blissfully married to a lovely husband. I currently work part-time job. I love baking, cooking and am in my best smile when all household chores are done. I like arts such as drawing, water colour painting and any handycrafts and arts of which I think could help enhance my skills. I sometimes play pc games, listening to music and reading books in my spare time.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of this church when I was 18. I was baptized in 1991 with my Mother and sister. The rest of the family joined in later time of the same year. I love my membership in the church. I meet wonderful friends who help strengthen my testimony. Because of my family and friends in the church, I stay active and cherished every single moment of my church activities. I know that Heavenly Father loves us all. We are all His literal spirit children. Every person on earth is a child of God. Jesus Christ, is the son of God and our Saviour and Redeemer. Our loving Father in Heaven reached out to His children. He wants us to go back to His presence someday. Throughout biblical history, God reveals His gospel to prophets. He called many prophets since the beginning of human race and gave them commandments and prophecies for His children to follow. Sadly, many people rejected that gospel; even some of those accepted it and changed gospel doctrines and ordinances and fell into unbelief and apostasy. Our Father in Heaven sent His beloved son, Jesus Christ. He performed miracles and taught His gospel. But still many didn't believe and persecuted him. Jesus Christ accomplished the atonement and was resurrected. In the Spring of 1820, a young man, Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Beginning with that First Vision, God has again reached out in love to His children. The restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, The Priesthood authority and the organization of His church in this latter day was a profound truth of Heavenly Father's love to His children. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a true and living church here on earth. Jesus Christ is the head of His church. He is the central figure of our faith and beliefs. We believe in continuous revelation through a living prophet today! We believe all that he does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

How I live my faith

I served various callings since I joined the church. I currently serve as Primary Teacher (CTR 3). I am teaching children from 4-7 years old in the church. I love to serve and do my church duties and responsibilities because I feel that it is important to serve Heavenly Father's children. The Visiting Teaching also helps me gain more friends and getting to know better the sisters in my ward. President Gordon B. Hickley said: "Every member needs: A Friend, A Calling, and to be continually nourished with the good words of God". I am blessed with his counsel in my life. I know this promised is true when every church member will anxiously engaged in a good cause.

Are Mormons Christians?

Rowena
I'm a Mormon and I am christian. Jesus Christ is the center of my faith and beliefs. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints follow the same organization and gospel teachings as it was established anciently by Jesus Christ himself. To be called christian, is to become a true disciple of Jesus Christ and follow his example. Show more Show less
