Hi I'm Emily

I'm from beautiful Sydney Australia. I love ancient history and all things french. I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the baby in a family full of loud, crazy females and I wouldn't have it any other way! When I was in primary school my parents took me backpacking around the world for 3 months and it has shaped my life in so many ways. It has lead to me studying ancient history and museums at university and having a passion for travel. It has also lead to an obsession with all things french. (Oui, je parle le français!) I love the 1950's- the clothing, the hair, the music, everything! I love to dress up in vintage reproduction clothing and go to rockabilly fairs here in Sydney. It's a culture which is slowly but surely spreading! Lastly, I love to read. I can't get enough of fiction. I am always reading a book!

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to live the gospel, and that is because I know to my core that it is the only way that I can be truly happy. I look at my family around me, and think of loved ones I have lost. Nothing brings me more comfort than the knowledge that through this church, I can live with my loved ones for all time and eternity. Life, at times, is not easy...but with every trial or hardship I am constantly reminded of my Heavenly Father's love for me. I know he is real. I know that Jesus Christ is real and that he is my Saviour. It does not matter to me that I cannot see them. I can feel them. This is why I believe. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am so very blessed to teach the children every sunday. They are such a joy to teach, and we have such fun learning basic gospel truths together. Watching them learn and grow is the greatest reward I could receive. Sometimes in life it's simply not enough to do things by halves. So I try to live my faith everyday. We have so many opportunities to participate in church activities throughout the week that will help us grow spiritually and develop our talents. It is truly a blessing.
