Hi I'm Katherine

I'm a world traveler, a Reeses addict, a future PR professional, a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Houston, Texas, but have spent most of my life living overseas with my family. I'm a student at Brigham Young University studying Public Relations and French, but I'm currently serving as a missionary for the LDS church in the Adriatic North Mission (comprised of Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina). I love soccer, traveling, spending time with my family and serving as a missionary for my church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but it wasn't until I got out to college that I really started to question whether I wanted to stay in the church. After the passing of my dad, I began to study the plan of salvation, and felt a confirmation that the church and the plan was true. I realized that I wanted to live a worthy life, so that I could live with my father and the rest of my family again in the next life. I'm a Mormon because I know that there is so much joy and understanding to be had in this life and in the next. I know that through Christ and His Atonement, we can be cleansed and healed from any sin, pain, suffering and we can also feel His enabling power; He has the power to fulfill Isaiah's prophecy to calm and heal our broken hearts, to provide understanding and knowledge and to bring unimaginable joy into our lives. I'm so grateful for the happiness and understanding that I derive in my own life from knowing that what I'm doing is right and in line with what the Lord desires for me.

How I live my faith

Before my mission I taught a Sunday school class about gospel principles to new members. I'm excited to be serving as a missionary and try to be worthy of this calling by studying my scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father every day.
