Hi I'm Val Camp

I'm an Optometrist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho on a small farm. I served a two year mission to South Carolina many years ago. I then attended BYU and the University of Houston before being accepted into the Optometry program at Pacific University in Oregon. After graduation I married my wife Debbie and we moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where I have an Optometry practice in Sherwood Park. My wife and I have three daughters, Ashley, Aubrey, and Alyssa. I enjoy helping those less fortunate with their vision and have been on eyecare missions to Tanzania in eastern Africa and to Ecuador in South America with my oldest daughter. I look forward to traveling to Tonga this summer with my youngest daughter with Humanitarian Experience for Youth to help the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS (Mormon) faith but had to find out for myself if I knew the Church was right for me. As I studied and read the Bible and Book of Mormon I gained my own conviction and testimony that this Church and gospel are true.

How I live my faith

I serve as a clerk in my local stake (congregation) and enjoy helping with the administrative matters for my local church leaders.
