Hi I'm Kyle

I was born in Alabama, and raised in Utah. I like to backpack, hike and swim. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school. I am presently on a mission in England London South and I absolutly love it. I am the youngest child in my family. I have three older brothers, a sister, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, and a loving father and mother. I love being with my family and bonding with my brothers. After my mission I plan to attend college at Utah State University. I love hiking and just being outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel. It make me feel good. It gives purpose to life. I am comforted by the thought that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I am on an LDS mission in England London South. I get to share a wonderful message about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It brings such great joy into my life and the more I learn about it the more I love it. I try to help people understand God's plan for them. I may not be perfect at living the way that Christ has taught, but I (like many more) am trying to change to do as Christ would do.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Kyle
We are all saved by grace. We have all come and gained a body and because of Christ we will all recieve a perfect body when we live again. We can only live with God forever if we do good works and live how he would have us live. Grace is how we are saved and works determined where we will be in the eternities. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Kyle
Nobody is required to serve a mission. It is a duty and a priviledg to serve. It is an amazing way to follow the Lord and he greatly blesses us. The Lord blesses us greatly when we serve him. We are not force to serve though and you can still be an amazing person without serving a mission, it is just something the Lord has given us to bless out lives. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Kyle
Jesus Christ chooses the Prophet. It is usually the senior Apostle who is the next prophet, but all members of the Apostles is worthy to be the Prophet. The bottom line is that the Lord is the one who chooses the prophet and not man. As member of the Church of Jesus Christ we only sustain those whom the Lord has chosen. Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Kyle
The Word of Wisdom is a way that God has asked us to take care of our bodies. He has asked us not to harm our bodies and to not take in substances like tabacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and illegal drugs. He wants us to stay physically heathy and as a result He know we will be happier. While these are the specific things the Lord has asked us to avoid, he doesn't want us addicted to anything. By keeping the Word of Wisdom the Lord will bless us, as he does with all his commandments. To learn even more of the blessings of the Word of Wisdom read Doctrine and Covenants 89. The Lord never gives a commandment in which we are not blessed by keeping it. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Kyle
Jesus said, "If any man will do his will, he shall know the doctrine..."(see John 7:17) To find out for yourself if Mormonism is true you need to apply it to your life. Live how the gospel teaches you to live. Study the word of God in the Book of Mormon and the Bible. As you do these things also ponder and pray that you may be able to find the truth for yourself. By doing this the Holy Ghost will be with you and you will know the truth of it for yourself. Once you do know the truth, keep on following these guidelines to strengthen your faith. This really will bless your life and will make you happier. Show more Show less
