Hi I'm Ryan Morrow

I'm 20 years old. I'm from Virginia. I'm southern boy. I', bilingual. I'm an uncle to 3 nieces. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the great state of Virginia where I have been raised around many of my family members. I wasn't always the best kid growing up, but luckily I had patient parents and friends. I enjoy hunting and fishing. I am an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I love kayaking, going on hikes, and camping trips. Overall I love the outdoors. I come from a family of 7 kids, with myself right in the middle. I am trying to do a better job setting an example for my younger siblings than the examples that I had growing up. My life has always been interesting and if it wasn't I did something that would make it interesting, whether it was good or bad. After graduating High School, I started working for a Private Security company. I hadn't tried to go to college yet, because I didn't know what I wanted to do. While working Private Security, I decided to continue to straighten out my life and serve a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church. I was raised with a knowledge that Jesus Christ was my Savior and Redeemer, but I never really internalized it. In my teenage years I started to rebel against the Church and my parents. I thought I knew better and I wanted to do the things that I wanted, not what others wanted me to do. That wasn't the funnest road. Luckily, my family, friends, and the Church were still there for me, even when I thought I didn't need them. I came back and applied the Atonement of Jesus Christ to my life. I saw changes happen in my life as I lived the commandments of God, I felt true happiness. As I continued to use the Atonement I could feel the pains of my sins no more. I saw where I wanted to be and changed the course of my life. While still facing the same challenges I had once given into, I have been able to overcome and grow spiritually. I am now showing my faith to the Lord by serving a Mission, teaching the Gospel to others so they can feel the love of Christ that I have felt in my life. I was born a Mormon, but I am still a Mormon because I love the Lord.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the Church, I have always been expected to live an honest and charitable life. I find joy in helping others in any way possible. I am currently serving a 2 year volunteer mission in Spanish for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Fresno, California. I have never felt so much joy in my life, there is no joy greater than seeing the light of Christ shine through others as they accept His Gospel.
