Hi I'm Cassie

I am creative and sassy. I love laughter and chocolate. I am studying Elementary Education. I am a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children. I attend Utah State University. I want to be an elementary school teacher. I love cheesecake. I enjoy reading, painting, cooking, playing the violin, and educating children. I am soon going to serve as a full-time missionary in the Philippines Iloilo Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am blessed to be a descendant of a long line of faithful Latter-day Saints. Many of my ancestors were Mormon pioneers, and I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I continue to be a faithful member of the church because I have come to know that Christ is my Savior and this is His true church through many spiritual experiences. Consistent church attendance, learning about the gospel in seminary and institute, participating in the Young Women program, and surrounding myself with righteous people have all contributed to my own conversion. I find spiritual strength and comfort in reading my scriptures daily, praying to my Heavenly Father frequently, and going to do service in the temple every week. I am a Latter-day Saint because I know my Heavenly Father has a plan for His children to obtain eternal happiness. I know if I follow His plan, then I can live with my family forever in heaven.

How I live my faith

I try to always notice small miracles put in my life from my Heavenly Father. I live with an attitude of gratitude in my mind and heart. I seek the guidance of the Holy Ghost as I make all of the large and small decisions which face me at this time of my life. I actively attend a young single adult (YSA) ward for university students, and it is FUN! There are so many great people to meet and almost every week the ward has some kind of awesome, Christ-centered activity. My YSA ward is like a second family to me while I am attending college away from home. I am soon going to serve as a full-time missionary in the Philippines Iloilo Mission, and I am so excited! It will be an amazing experience to teach people about the gospel of Jesus Christ while also learning how to live in a different culture. I always strive to be an example of righteousness to those around me, especially my family, friends, and roommates.
