Hi I'm June

I am Scottish born living in England,I am married to David and have two sons and one daughter.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have a wide range of interests including, music, singing, encaustic art, painting, writing letters, dancing, various paper-crafts, reading and the usual embroidery, knitting, sewing and weaving. I recently took up baking my own bread and found am quite good at it, unfortunately my waist line doesn't agree. I love meeting new people, and love traveling. As well as being all of the above I have four sisters and one brother which means I am also an Aunty and Great Aunty. My mother and father are both deceased but my mum joined the Church of Jesus Christ in 1973. She was later sealed to my Father in the Temple which means I am sealed to my parents and those members of my family who are members of the church. I have suffered from some serious ill health issues over the years and if the Gospel hadn't been part of my life I don't think I would have recovered as well as I have. Prescribed Medication became a very difficult factor in some of the illnesses and I was blessed and inspired to take myself off all the very heavy medication against medical advice, so had to do this without medical assistance and then work out a medication regime that I could operate with that allowed me living my life to the full again. I couldn't have done this on my own it was my faith in the Word of Wisdom which is healthy living tenet of my being a mormon. Living the Gospel has allowed me into a wonderful world allowing me to be the best I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in God. I Believe that God loves me and all of his children. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Saviour. I believe that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life on the cross for me and for all of us, and that through this Atoning Sacrifice, I have the opportunity to learn more of him and try to live as he did, so that I might return to live in his presence once more in knowledge. I believe that Joseph Smith was called by God as a Prophet of the Lord. I believe that Joseph Smith was blessed to translate the Ancient Tablets and transcribe what is known as The Book of Mormon. I have read this and know for myself through prayer, study and reading that this is the Work and Word of a Loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is the Head of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that he has blessed and appointed a Living Prophet and other leaders at all levels of this Church to carry out the everyday work, of bringing us all to the knowledge of the Gospel, and to make the Church an organization of order, just as stated in the Bible when Jesus instructed his Apostles to set up his Church on the earth and go out and bring his children to the knowledge that he loves them all and he desires all to return to live with him, through learning about the fulness of the Gospel. Today we have a living Prophet, Seer and Revelator who talks with, and takes instruction from God. He is President Thomas S Monson, he is supported by 12 Apostles, the same as in Jesus's time, these Men of God are blessed and set apart as prophets, seers and revelators, that they might assist President Monson in his covenant to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all, but during his lifetime, only Thomas S Monson holds all the Spiritual Priesthood keys. I have seen miracles and been blessed by miracles throughout my life. This is my Testimony In the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am a Ward Missionary a calling I learn so much from. My husband is the Ward Mission Leader and I get to talk over ideas of how to become better missionaries and help others realize that 'we may be the only Book of Mormon' people will ever read and so we should encourage them to wish to turn the pages to find out what happens and how it could make their lives better. I learned about the Church whilst in my very early teens, and gained a Testimony that Jesus is my Saviour and that I needed to be baptized so that I might return to live with my Heavenly Father,as my family were Roman Catholic, I had to wait two years until I was 16 (in Scotland your are then considered to be an Adult) before I was allowed to be baptized. I have moved around a few Branches and Wards across the UK and visited other wards in Europe and the USA, and the Gospel Principles are the same wherever you go.
