Hi I'm Caleb Leonhardt

I'm from Wisconsin. I love all sports and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outdoors camping, running, swimming, you name it I enjoy it. I played basketball, baseball, and football throughout high school but any kind of sport is my kind of sport. I've coached football, been a scout master, and am currently serving a mission in Pheonix Arizona. I love to be cheerful and uplifting because life can be so difficult at times that we just need to learn to laugh it off, so I like to help people do that.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but doen't mean I haven't seen anything else. I have gone to many different churchs my self in search for what others believe in and how that belief brings them true happiness. I ended up staying with the mormon faith because of 3 reasons. One, because the truth is not pushed on anyone but all are invited to find out for themselves through prayer. Two, there is no question that can't be answered with the knowledge of the church. And third, I have never felt more happiness in my life than when I can come to church and learn gospel principles that can carry me through the eternities. My parents were divorced when I was 5 or so and the family has changed in many ways. I was always able to overcome the sorrows of that situation and other situations such as the lost of loved ones because of the gospel principles I have learned. I promise that you can have that comfort as well!

How I live my faith

I am currently on a mission in Pheonix Arizona sharing the love I have for the gospel but more importantly how I live the faith is by helping others live it. In school I was one of 5 mormons and had very few people to talk to that shared the same standards and insight that I do. I used the knowledge I would get from church and try to help my many friends with the conflicting situations they were in and how they can make it through the drama of the world. There is no such thing as an easy life but there are easy friends and that's all I want to be. A blessing rather than a burden to all that I can meet.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Caleb Leonhardt
Jesus Christ taught in John 3:1-8 that all must be baptized in order to enter the kingdom of God. If someone never had the opportunity to be baptized or the learn about the Gospel or Jesus Christ for that matter that would be unfair. Be believe that all will be made fair in the end. Everyone will have an opportunity to accept the Gospel. The responsibility of sharing that opportunity is up to those that already have it. We simple do baptisms for the dead to present that opportunity to people who might not have had the opportunity. Show more Show less
