Hi I'm Tiffany Barker

I grew up in a small town north of Utah. i love singing, participating in drama and attending school. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am currently attending college to earn a degree in Special Education. I love working with kids and teaching, the smile they get when they understand or learn something new is priceless. I love being outside, and being brought up in a farming community, i love riding horses, four wheeling etc. I enjoy reading and writting. The Tale of Two Cities, Dante's Inferno, Of Mice and Men, are just a few of my favorites. I love to laugh and be around others.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have always been members of the church, however, we were inactive (did not attend church) off and on as i was growing up at home. When i went off to college i had no one to rely on anymore, i had total freedom to make my own choices. As appealing as the parties, and other college events sounded, I decided to attend church my first Sunday there. I felt a spirit i never had attending church previously. As i grew to love my roommates who were also LDS, They encouraged me to keep attending and to keep learning and to avoid falling back into inactivity. I began to know in my heart that Heavenly Father loved me, and needed me to help to serve his children. I know that this gospel is for anyone and everyone. My testimony is ever growing, but all it takes is a seed of faith.

How I live my faith

During my first semester at college i participated in a singles ward in my area. There is no funner environment anywhere on campus then a bunch of single adults meeting together to share and grow in the gospel. Additionally, i am now a teacher of 5 and 6 year olds in the primary (sunday school for young children). They are full of energy but it is so much fun sharing with them and helping them realize Heavenly Father's love for each of them. I also participate in seminary and institute. Around my community i find little opportunities to serve others i come in contact with and to be an example of those of my faith.
