Hi I'm Cody Vaun Weight

I grew up in Utah USA moved to Idaho USA and started a home building company. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 33 years old I love the out doors such as hunting, fishing and camping. I play all sports and excelled in Major College Football and Professional Arena Football. I have 4 kids 2 boys and 2 girls and a beautiful wife who loves the Lord. I owe all my happiness to one choice I made when I was a 23 years old...

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 23 I was a major College football star on a full scholarship when I began to long for something more. It seemed for a college student I had it all but there was something missing deep inside that needed to be filled. It was the summer before my senior year when I finally gave into the prompting of what I learned to be the Holy Ghost prompting and telling me to come unto Christ. I explained to a local Bishop what I was feeling and told him that I will try all things the Church teaches to see if I feel a difference. In the beginning it was tough but it soon became easy and it filled me with the peace, comfort, guidance and direction I desired. Six months later I would meet my wife. Within a year we were sealed in the Temple and two years after that my parents would become sealed in the Temple along with my sister and her husband and my entire family sealed for time and all entirety. I have never looked back since and had no idea that one choice would bless my life and my entire families life so much but the Lord new and I am so thankful I responded to his call to "Come Unto Christ" I am a Mormon because it brings me such great peace and guidance. I have come to know over time the Gospel of Jesus Christ that once existed on the earth has been restored once again through a Prophet and we are lead and guided by Christ through a living Prophet today.

How I live my faith

I serve as a 11 year old scout leader and I have found a strong testimony in reading my Bible and Book of Mormon each morning. Last year I completed the New Testament of the Bible and I increased my testimony on Faith as Jesus taught many times about the power of Faith. I have approached my faith with the very same principles that made me successful in sports. First desire. You must truly desire what you are trying to accomplish. For me it was to know and find the truth. Second. Effort, hard work, sacrifice and determination all though difficult at times will always yield results. You will never regret hard work and sacrifice. For example the more I study the scriptures, serve others and pray the more the spirit testifies to me this work is true the Jesus is the Christ and we have a living Prophet back on the Earth. Through my desire to know, patients to understand and hard work I have grown to love the gospel and learn how amazing it truly is and the Lords love for all of us.
