Hi I'm Andrew

I’m a Mormon, a lover of all things music, and fun!

About Me

One of the biggest things in my life is family, music, and having fun. Throughout my life I have learned that being happy does just come from doing things that I like but more often is a result of a positive mind set, but doing fun things does help. I have spent most of my life near Salt Lake City. One thing that has always been a big factor in my life is music. I have played cello for just about 10ish years. I believe that music is one of the most important things; I love all kinds of music. I believe that The Black Keys are one of the best bands of all time. Outside of music one of the best things in the world is adventure. I am a big fan of just getting out there; I have come to love hiking, rocking climbing which makes a sweet combination called canyoneering. I love climbing it is just another kind of feeling getting to the top of a rock face and looking out at what is around you it’s a different world. One of the last things that I have done on my quest for adventure is joining the world motorcycles. From the day that I first rode I can’t stop. I think that the best team sport in the world is soccer, and there is nothing better than chilling with friends and family at the end of the day!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for several reasons I guess one being that I was raised in the Church, Second as I have taken the time to really look at my life I see that the only church that makes sense to me logically and spiritually is this church. Every time I study the scriptures and continue to strength that in which I believe in. As I have learned and lived the principle taught in this church and by its leaders it brings so much peace into my life. I know that this kind of peace can only have been brought though the Holy Ghost. In the end one of the most important reason I am a member of this church is that through prayer and study I feel that this is where I should be.

How I live my faith

The gospel of Jesus Christ affects my life in so many ways it’s hard to know in words how to explain how it affects me and my life. The gospel has mainly in my life been a very passive thing that has just happened. It did not take a major role in my life until not long before the time where I had an opportunity to serve a mission for the church that I had gone to my whole life. At that time I decided to make the gospel an active force in my life. This decision to make it an active force in my life has helped me to understand why the it is so important to live the gospel and not just mundanely go through the motions of it. As part of what I have decided to do to help make the gospel of Jesus Christ an active force in my life I strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ. As I have spent the time to really study the words of Christ in the scriptures they have brought on so much meaning to me and has changed me. In sort I try to live the 13th article of faith"13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." As I have done this it has made me a happier person, and to love the people around me.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Andrew
We believe the bible to be the word as well as the book of mormon. The bible contains so many important truths pertaining to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The bible is the foundation on which Christianity is founded on. It would be nearly impossible to follow Christ without believing and following the truths found in the Holy bible. Show more Show less
