Hi I'm Kristen Ray

I'm from Las Vegas, Nevada. I love volleyball and laughing with my friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, what should I express about myself? I absolutely love people. Getting to know new people is one of my favorite things because I get to hear different insights and stories. Human emotion and communication intrigue me. My family means the world to me. I grew up with two loving parents, two exceptionally smart older sisters, and one hilarious little brother. Some things we love doing together are playing mini-putt golf, going out to eat, playing board games, and having cook outs at our house for holidays. I love sports. I played soccer growing up and then switched over to volleyball when I was 12. Volleyball became a passion for me when I got to high school. I loved the adrenaline that came from a close game. During my time on the team, I strengthened friendships that I believe will last a life time. Winning was always my goal and important to me, but secondary to the connections I made during my time on the team. My friends mean the world to me. They have helped shape me to be the person I am. They have accepted me for my crazy and off-the-wall comments and have encouraged my weird humor and strange interests (like being a tree for Halloween or organizing my room 4,000 times). I love dancing (just for fun), laughing, eating, and decorating cakes. I have completed one year of college as a psychology major at Brigham Young University. I am now serving as a full-time missionary in North Carolina.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God lives and He loves me. Because of this eternal love God has for me, He sent His Son into this world to atone for my sins and go through all the pain that I have and will go through. I see God's love for me in my life everyday and I want to be a part of His Church so that I can thank him as best as I can. I know that because God loves me, he inspired a man named Joseph Smith to pray to ask what church he should join. Upon praying, he learned that none of the churches were true. God inspired Joseph Smith to bring to pass the Restoration of the Church and I am so grateful for that. I am a Mormon because I know that I can live with my family forever. That is something that brings me so much solace. I am so grateful for a loving family who has helped me progress in the gospel so much.

How I live my faith

I try hard to be my best in all aspects of life and rely on the infinite and personal Atonement of Jesus Christ when I fall short. I rely on the Atonement of Christ so much to help me feel joy and happiness in the world and to get over my past sins and struggles. I pray daily and communicate with my loving Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for the power of prayer in my life. It has helped me over come so many things and it helps me feel so much comfort. I am so appreciative for the Restoration, Plan of Salvation, and Gospel of Jesus Christ and I love teaching it to others I come in contact with.
