Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Mormon, living in California and soon to be living in the Philippines. I love this gospel and cannot wait to share it.

About Me

I am the second youngest of my three other sisters. I absolutely love where I live, but I am beyond excited to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Cauayan Philippines mission for 18 months. I have completed some schooling at BYU and hope to enter into the medical field someday. I love to play volleyball, the piano, and I find so much joy in a day at the beach or a beautiful sunset.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know that this is the true church that Christ has established through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith had a vision of God and Christ and was called to restore the true and everlasting gospel. I know God is real because I see His blessings in my life every day. He knows what I need and knows how best to communicate to me regarding what I must do to be His instrument on earth. I love being a Mormon because every member of the church has chance after chance to return to Christ after making mistakes. I know that, because of this church, I can live with my family forever with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and I am so grateful for this knowledge because it gives me a real purpose for life.

How I live my faith

I strive to follow Jesus Christ's example in everything I do. Of course some days I fall short, but I work hard to prioritize my relationship with Him and with my Heavenly Father. I look for ways to feel the Spirit every day, and I try to bring happiness to others as much as I can. I listen to clean music, which helps me keep my thoughts clean and centered on Christ. I attend and look forward to my church meetings every week and try to incorporate the gospel into my daily life.
