Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in the the south my whole life, specifically Louisiana. I love our great food and friendly atmosphere. I love music and sports. I was a music education major at Southeastern Louisiana University. I ran track in High School and loved it. I love to sit down and watch a good game of basketball or football. I am not married yet, but I live in a family with two other younger brothers.

Why I am a Mormon

When my parents first had me, they decided that they wanted to start attending church. My mom was baptized into the church, but never really went as a kid and a teenager. The missionaries came and taught my parents about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Shortly after my Dad was baptized in the church, and our family grew. For most of my life I have lived off of my parents testimony. Little by little I gained a testimony for myself. Through my experiences I have gained a testimony on different principles of our church. For example, my family and I suffered a loss of a family member. I was highly upset. I stayed up for hours at night crying. Then one day someone showed me in the scriptures the Plan our Father has made for us to return to him with our families. I prayed about this and knew with a sure knowledge that this was true. I never shed a tear again. I know that we will return to live with our Heavenly Father again some day and that we will see our deceased family members again. God has a plan for each and everyone of us even when life gets hard. These small and great principles and miracles in my life are the reason why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith everyday, by reading my Bible and Book of Mormon daily. I pray daily to my Heavenly Father and thank him for what he has done for me and ask him for things I need. I always try my best to find ways to serve people as the Lord did. I participate in service projects regularly put on by our church and community.
