Hi I'm Morganne Kaneen

I go to an art school in the city I live in; Vancouver Washington. I love to dance and act, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to talk to people! (Some times that can get me in trouble in class) I also am a rare species of teenagers that loves school as well. While some people may be wishing that Summer came faster; I sometime wish that school would never end. As a Junior at a school that is 6th through 12th grade, I get to really connect with people which is something important to me. I am a dancer, and I love Ballet, contemporary, and modern styles. I go to a school that is a magnet for the arts and I love how I can have dance and theatre classes along side my normal academic classes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church; my parents were married and sealed in the temple. At first I came to church and lived the gospel because that is what my family did and I didn't know what else to do. But one year I was at a church summer camp for girls aged 12 to 18 and I had a very spiritual experience that made me know that I knew the church was true and it wasn't just something that my parents knew was true.

How I live my faith

As a dancer, I had to choose early on if I was going to wear modest attire or not. Me and my mother chose that even though it would be harder and more expensive to buy modest leotards; we would. The embarrassment that I felt in class because I was the only dancer wearing a leotard with sleeves soon became joy and love when my fellow dancers would ask why I would always wear modest leotards in class or performance; even though it might not look as pretty or attractive. I then realizized that I could be an example anywhere I go; no matter what I am doing.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Morganne Kaneen
I think that everything around us is a testament that God exists. Our families, the sunshine, happiness, and birds who sing are just a tiny list among thousands of things that let us know that we have a loving heavenly father who let us come and experience this wonderful world. If you truly want to know with a certainty that he is up there and exists; go to a quiet place, close your eyes, and ask him just like you would ask you dad something. The real question I think is; what doesn't prove that we have a heavenly father? Show more Show less
