Hi I'm Ashley Curfew

I grew up in Utah, I'm 19 years old and I'm an average teenage girl. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 19 years old. I am currently attending Utah State University as a History Education major. I love to eat, run, listen to music, watch cheesy chick flicks, play tennis and frisbee, sleeping, being with the people closest to me,hiking, biking, and doing exciting and crazy things. My motto is I can do hard things with the help of my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but this is not the reason why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I have felt of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I remember when I was little, I had just barely learned how to read, and I was attempting to read the Book of Mormon. Although, I didn't quite understand everything I was reading the feeling I got as a little 7 or 8 year old was good. It was a simple peace. That simple feeling of peace has escalated as I have grown up and gained a better understanding of the Book of Mormon and Bible. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and I love Him. I know there is power and safety in following the living prophets of this day. I know that families can be together eternally. I know that the peace of the temple is a peace that cannot be found in the world. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book, because I have prayerfully asked my Heavenly Father. My answer did not come all at once in one spectacular moment. It has come day by day by the Spirit testifying to me of its truths, and it continues to testify to me everyday. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday step by step. I participate in my ward as a visiting teacher and as a helper for a food committee. I love my YSA singles ward! It's a great place to meet exciting people who share my same standards and values. I am thrilled to leave on my mission to Omaha Nebraska!
