Hi I'm Michael

I'm a scientist, a husband, a father and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live with my wife and three children just outside Huddersfield. I work for a well-known university carrying out research in Atmospheric Science. Over the years my work has taken me to many parts of the world to study various aspects of the atmosphere. I have been blessed to visit some beautiful places but the best place of all is home. When I get a chance I enjoy gardening, hiking, music, reading and family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a lifelong member of the Mormon Church, my parents having joined separately some years before they met. Growing up in the church I have learned of its teachings and practises through experience. Throughout my life the teachings of the church have always made sense to me and given direction and purpose to my life. Having faith in Jesus Christ and a knowledge of His gospel has provided an anchor and a comfort in my life through times of difficulty. While for me there has never been a time when I have had serious doubts about the church, I have sought and obtained my own confirmation that its teachings are true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life in accordance with the teachings of Christ, I work hard and try to be self-sufficient. I attend church each week and take an active part in church life serving in whatever capacity I am asked to. Currently, I help to provide administrative support to our local church leaders. I’m also a member of the church choir and assist with music in church meetings from time to time.
