Hi I'm Kaleo

Elder in the Colrado Colorado Springs Mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm an Eagle Scout and currently serving a full time mission in Colorado. I love to do sports and play the ukulele. Love animals and wildlife. My goal is to attend Brigham Young University Hawai'i and work at the cultural center. I'm also a Pokemon Master.

Why I am a Mormon

I could not ever imagine how my life would be or choices I would have made if I was not part of God's true church. Many believe the commandments restrict ones life when in actuality they help direct and improve the quality of it. I know this is the same church that Christ organized way back when, and through the prophet Joseph Smith it was restored and brought back to it's fullness with God's Priesthood authority and power. I know I'll see my Grandfather again and through the gospel be with my family forever. I know we have a living prophet today that leads and guides this church and called of God. I know the adversary is real, and he will do whatever it takes to hault our eternal progression and be as misrable as he and his followers. I know Jesus is the Christ, and that he suffered and atoned for my sins. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, a second witness of Jesus Christ, and that through the power of God was translated by Joseph Smith. That Joseph did see God the father and his son Jesus Christ in the grove as an answer to his question of which church he should join. I know this church is true with every atom of my body and I say these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen

How I live my faith

I strive to live the gospel on a daily basis by following the commandments of God and be an example wherever it is I go. Try to serve those in need and do good. Pray every day and night, study the scriptures when I can, and attend church every week. Stand as a witness of God the eternal father and his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost at all times.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

There are many reasons we do not partake of these harmful things, but I believe it all ties back to the question "Is Joseph Smith a Prophet of God?....is the Book of Mormon true?...is there a Prophet today on the Earth?" I believe these questions all intermingle and support one another (If one is true, then so are they) We follow Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ through his ordained servants the Prophets as did the Children of Israel with Moses and Joshua etc. There is a Prophet today 'Thomas S Monson' and I know the revelations he and the brethren give us are not from themselves (John 7:17 - "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself") but from our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. We may not fully understand the reason's "why?" but neither did the leper Naaman when instructed by the prophet Elisha to wash in the river Jordan 7 times. Faith is key in our lives..and faith in our Savior Jesus Christ is our test and daily mission...to not only believe in him, but to believe him. "Is the Book of Mormon true?.....was Joseph Smith really His prophet in these days?...has God called another Prophet to lead his people as in times of past?...and do they receive revelation for his children?"
