Hi I'm Ruth

I'm a Mormon

About Me

After studying for a degree in Human Biology in Oxford I moved back to the west country and have worked for a bank ever since. Before this I travelled all around the world, seeing many wonderful things and meeting many wonderful people but my favourite place has to be San Francisco - I can't wait to go back some day! I now work with young girls through guiding which is so much fun - they always have something funny to say and a fascinating outlook on life. I came to join the church about a year ago, after several years (and sets of missionaries!) and can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made. I am now happier than I ever thought I could be. I am now engaged and can't wait to start my own eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon. It has taken me a long time to get there, I investigated the church for several years before joining. I was driving home on a dark night along a motorway when I felt an overwhelming thought that the church is true and I haven't looked back since that day. The church is true and my life has been blessed in ways I never thought possible since accepting this. As I continue to learn more and to strive to live worthily I can feel the influence of Heavenly Father in my life and know that I am making the right choices.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. Going to church is probably the most obvious. I spend a lot of time at activities organised for the young adults in the church, studying scriptures, taking part in lots of activites and, most importantly, eating a lot of cake! Most importantly I live my faith by making it a way of life, by living the commandments everyday, by studying scriptures every day and remembering why I am here and where I am trying to get back to.
