Hi I'm Michael

I'm a Athlete, a Musician, a Missionary, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to run. In High School I ran twice in Washington State XC meet and did pretty well. I think that the main reason that I love to run so much is because it requires an immense mastery over ones mind and body. Runners push themselves beyond their limits both mentally and physically to become something else, something greater and weaker at the same time. I love Music. I've grown up around and playing instruments. Though I am not extremely talented at playing any single instrument (the Violin and Piano being my most proficient ones) I have developed a love for music. What started out as a love for Movie music from composers like John Williams and Howard Shore has grown to a love of Classical music from the like of Tchaikovsky and Dvorak. I find that Music has a true power to directly touch and change the soul. I have no doubt that through uplifting music we are brought nearer to god.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have seen the blessings that it brings and can bring families in my own. I know though various experiences in my life I've had in my life that God loves me and want the best for me. I know that no one needs to be alone because Christ is there for us all. I know this church is true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

After High School I kept running and took online classes but I had a goal. I wanted to serve a mission. I put in my papers And I worked like crazy raising the money that it would require.I also had the chance to teach the youth in my ward during this time. After 6 months I had the cash I needed and now I am serving a mission in the Denver, Colorado Area.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is where love begins. Our families are so important because they are where we grow the most. they are a foundation to gods plan where the values of the previous generation are passed on to the next and where we first learn how to grow and maintain relationships for the better Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is like your side of a long distance relationship. There is some one on the other side who sends and receives but only if we write/call first. As time passes and communication increases your relationship becomes closer and more is shared. However if you stop writing and start ignoring or losing the received letters the relationship doesn't exist. Similarly, our faith is our relationship with god. The more we develop it the more we receive from god. If we don't work on improving our relationship with him then our faith will remain undeveloped or wilt. Show more Show less
