Hi I'm Sicily

I work with children with autism. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student about to leave on an LDS mission to Lima, Peru. I work at a school for children with autism and I love it. I belong to a mixed family of 8 and wouldn't have it any other way!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, both my mom and dad are members. My parents divorced when I was six months old, I lived with my mom when I was younger. We weren't active in the church, didn't say family prayer, and we didn't have a worthy priesthood holder in our home. I later moved in with my dad and he was very active in the church, we always said family prayer and did scripture study, and he was a worthy priesthood holder. My testimony grew really quickly in the church because I know what it feels like to live a life without the church and the example it sets for families. I have seen the effect that it has on the family as a whole. After I felt what it feels like to have a constant feeling of the spirit with you I never wanted to go back to the life I had without it. I know this church is true and I have seen it change lives including my own. My testimony grows stronger everyday as I follow Him and I'm so blessed to be apart of such a loving, true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every Sunday, reading my scriptures every night, praying, and choosing to go on an LDS mission, but most of all I think I live my faith the most by doing small things everyday. I've realized that when you do small selfless acts for people it makes you completely happy because you know that's what the Lord wants you to do and you know you're on the right track.
