Hi I'm Julie

I'm from Idaho. I live and study Music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 9 kids with 22 nieces and nephews and 2 on the way, and as typical as that sounds for a Mormon, I wouldn't trade them for anything. My family means so much to me, and I love each and every one of them. I'm in my third year of college studying music with a voice emphasis. I love music and the way it works and the ability we have to learn about it and use it to express ourselves and learn things about others, ourselves and the world. I have a lot of friends, whether or not they're always around, I cannot deny that there are people who care about me that I have shared such great experiences with, that also mean the world to me. Our friendships with people are the greatest ways for us to enjoy day to day life and help us discover ourselves and the kind of people we want to be. I've worked at Subway Restaurants for almost 5 years now. Believe it or not I still don't mind working there. I have had the opportunity to meet so many different people from different backgrounds, with different lifestyles and beliefs and have learned so much from those people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a home with a family of members of the church so naturally I felt the understanding and importance of acceptance to the church as well. While growing up there are always things that try to change my opinion of the church and the standards that we try to live by, but there is no mistaking feeling the spirit and feeling it console me while making decisions in my life. My testimony grows stronger with each day. Trials, sadness, happiness, every emotion, all of these things we feel, but can be comforted in all these things thanks to our Savior and His sacrifices for us constantly. His love that I constantly feel is such a comfort especially as I live daily through the struggles of life.

How I live my faith

As a music major I've served in my wards as music leader or choir director. I also have been a student living representative for my apartment while at school, along with being a ward missionary, visiting the temple often, and many girls in my ward to make closer friends and be there for them if they need anything. One of the greatest ways that I try to live my faith and share it is by example. I try each day to be happy and spread that happiness to others. I'm also very excited to live and share my faith with others with my new calling as a full-time missionary! I am so excited for the opportunity to serve the Lord in this capacity and help others to find that happiness in the message of the restored gospel.
